(excl. VAT)High-efficiency Erlenmeyer cell culture flasks with large capacities are designed for cultivating and producing bacterial cultures. Their optimized design supports high cell viability and enables high protein expression throughout the culture process.
As culture volume increases during growth, these high-efficiency flasks help maintain excellent cell survival and viability. NEST Erlenmeyer flasks also provide outstanding reproducibility between experiments.
They are ideal for shake culture applications, liquid handling, and storage. The flasks are available with either leak-proof caps or vented caps. The vented version incorporates a 0.22 µm filter that provides efficient gas exchange while minimizing contamination risk. The ergonomic cap design ensures a secure and comfortable grip.
The classic Erlenmeyer shape combines a conical base with a cylindrical neck, allowing efficient mixing while minimizing spills. The narrow neck also reduces evaporation compared to standard beakers. The Erlenmeyer flask was invented in 1861 by German chemist Richard Erlenmeyer.
Manufactured from optically clear polycarbonate (PC) compliant with USP Class VI, these flasks combine excellent transparency with exceptional durability. Polycarbonate offers superior light transmission compared to many glass materials and does not shatter if dropped.
The material is oxidation resistant and withstands temperatures up to 121 °C. Molded graduations provide easy volume reading.
Each flask is sterile, graduated, and certified free from pyrogens, DNase, and RNase.
Compared with conventional 3 L conical flasks, the high-efficiency 3 L version has a considerably smaller base diameter, reducing laboratory footprint. The vented cap also features a larger breathable membrane area to improve oxygen transfer.
Three types of liquid transfer caps with tubing are available for the high-efficiency flasks. Please contact us for further information.
