(excl. VAT)Erlenmeyer cell culture flasks are designed for the preparation and cultivation of bacterial cultures. They are ideal for shaker culture applications as well as liquid handling and storage. The flasks are available with leak-proof caps, either vented or non-vented.
The vented caps are equipped with a 0.22 µm filter, ensuring efficient gas exchange while minimizing the risk of contamination. The caps are also designed with an ergonomic grip for comfortable and secure handling.
The flask features a conical base and a cylindrical neck. The conical shape allows the contents to be mixed efficiently during shaking without spilling, while the narrow neck helps reduce evaporation compared to a beaker. The Erlenmeyer flask is named after the German chemist Richard Erlenmeyer, who invented it in 1861.
The flasks are manufactured from optically clear PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified). PETG is a durable thermoplastic polyester with excellent chemical resistance. The glycol modification enhances strength, impact resistance, and durability while improving performance at elevated temperatures.
Unlike glass flasks, PETG flasks do not shatter if dropped.
Each flask features clear graduations for easy volume measurement. They are certified sterile and are free from pyrogens, DNase, and RNase.
