High-Efficiency Erlenmeyer Cell Culture Flasks with Baffles
High-efficiency Erlenmeyer cell culture flasks with baffles and large capacities are designed for cultivating and producing bacterial cultures. Their optimized design promotes high cell viability while supporting strong protein expression throughout the cultivation process.

The flasks are ideal for shaker culture applications, liquid handling and storage. They are available with either a leak-proof screw cap or a vented cap equipped with a 0.2 µm filter, ensuring efficient gas exchange while protecting against contamination. The ergonomic cap design provides a secure and comfortable grip.
The conical base enables efficient mixing without spillage, while the integrated baffles create more uniform agitation and improved oxygen transfer during shaking. The narrow neck also minimizes evaporation compared to open laboratory vessels. The Erlenmeyer flask was originally developed by German chemist Richard Erlenmeyer in 1861.
Manufactured from Optically Clear Polycarbonate
The flasks are manufactured from optically clear polycarbonate (PC) that complies with USP Class VI. The material combines exceptional transparency with outstanding impact resistance and offers light transmission superior to many types of glass. Unlike glass flasks, polycarbonate flasks will not shatter if accidentally dropped.
They are oxidation resistant and withstand temperatures up to 121 °C. Molded graduations allow quick and accurate volume reading during use.
All flasks are supplied sterile and certified free from pyrogen, DNase and RNase.
Space-Saving Design with Improved Oxygen Supply
Compared with conventional 3 L conical flasks, the 3 L high-efficiency flask features a smaller base diameter, reducing the space required in laboratories and incubators.
Its neck diameter matches the 5 L high-efficiency flask, allowing a larger breathable membrane area in the vented cap and increased oxygen transfer for improved cell culture performance.
