Erlenmeyer Cell Culture Flasks with Baffles for Efficient Bacterial Culture
Erlenmeyer cell culture flasks with baffles are designed for the cultivation and production of bacterial cultures. They are ideal for shake culture applications while also providing reliable liquid handling and storage.
The flasks are available with either a leak-proof standard cap or a vented cap. The vented version incorporates a 0.2 µm filter that ensures efficient gas exchange while protecting cultures from contamination. The caps feature an ergonomic design that provides a secure grip and comfortable handling.
Each flask has a conical base with integrated baffles and a cylindrical neck. The baffles promote consistent and efficient mixing during use on orbital shakers, helping create optimal culture conditions. The narrow neck also reduces evaporation compared to a standard beaker.
Originally invented in 1861 by the German chemist Richard Erlenmeyer, this flask design remains one of the most widely used laboratory vessels.
Manufactured from optically clear polycarbonate (PC), the flasks combine excellent transparency with outstanding impact resistance. Unlike glass, polycarbonate does not shatter if accidentally dropped, improving both durability and laboratory safety.
Graduation marks allow easy volume measurement, and every flask is certified sterile and free from pyrogens, DNase and RNase.
