Vacuum urine sample kit
The Vacuum urine sample kit is a sterile sample collection set consisting of a urine container and sample tubes for the collection and transfer of urine samples. The urine is first collected in the urine container and then transferred directly into the sample tube using vacuum.
The Vacutest Kima urine collection container is available in both 60 ml and 120 ml versions and is made of durable polypropylene. The tight-fitting screw cap helps prevent leakage and retains odour from the sample. The sample tube itself is made of PET, providing strength and durability during handling and transport.
The sample tube operates according to the same principle as modern blood collection tubes, where the urine is transferred from the container to the tube in a fast, safe and hygienic manner. An integrated transfer device is built into the lid of the sterile urine container, where the tube is pressed down. The vacuum then draws the urine into the tube without contact with the contents of the container.
The lid construction helps keep the sample securely inside the tube and reduces the risk of leakage. The tube is also available with boric acid.
The Vacuum urine sample kit is supplied sterile with both urine container and collection tube fitted with caps. The sets are individually packed in sterile packaging.
The urine sample container is also available in a 60 ml version, where less plastic is used in production.
