CoolCaddy™ Workstation – Efficient Cooling Directly on the Laboratory Bench
CoolCaddy™ is a practical and flexible cooling solution for laboratory work where temperature control is essential. It enables reagents, enzymes, and other temperature-sensitive samples to remain consistently cooled on the workbench – without the need for ice or ice baths.
The workstation should be placed in a standard freezer overnight and is then ready to maintain a temperature of approximately 2–4 °C for up to 5 hours. This ensures optimal working conditions during sensitive procedures and reduces the risk of temperature fluctuations during pipetting and sample preparation.
CoolCaddy™ is particularly well suited for workflows involving multichannel pipetting from reservoirs to microtubes in strips or 96-well PCR plates. If work is temporarily interrupted, the entire unit – including samples and reagents – can be transferred directly to a refrigerator or freezer and reused without the need for reloading.
The unit provides effective cooling without freezing the samples, making it ideal for short-term storage during laboratory procedures. Its flexible design supports a wide range of tube types and formats, including microtubes, cryotubes, tube strips, PCR plates, and reservoirs.
