(excl. VAT)50 mm cardboard boxes for cryovials provide a durable and well-organised solution for long-term storage of cryogenic samples. They are designed to make efficient use of freezer space while keeping samples arranged in a clear and systematic storage setup.
These boxes are an environmentally friendly option for cryogenic storage and are suitable for both smaller laboratories and large research centres handling high volumes of cryogenic samples. Available in different sizes, they help keep samples carefully organised without taking up unnecessary freezer capacity.
Although storing cardboard cryoboxes in a freezer may not seem like the obvious choice, these boxes are made from high-quality materials and designed to withstand the demanding conditions of cryogenic storage. The protective coating provides high moisture resistance and resistance to mild chemicals. Combined with strong cardboard and an effective moisture-repellent, chemical-resistant surface, the boxes are well suited for longer-term storage.
The cardboard boxes feature removable and interchangeable dividers, giving laboratories a flexible storage setup. Different divider sizes can be purchased separately, allowing the box to be adapted as needed. For example, a 9 x 9 divider can be replaced with a 10 x 10 divider.
With a 9 x 9 divider, the box can store 81 samples. With a 10 x 10 divider, it can hold up to 100 narrow cryovials. When larger tubes need to be stored, the divider can be removed so samples can be placed directly in the box. This versatile design makes the cardboard boxes suitable for a wide range of laboratory storage needs.
The boxes, also referred to as boxes for chest freezers and upright freezers, are designed to fit standard freezers. They are 50 mm high and are supplied in standard sizes of 75 x 75 mm with a 5 x 5 divider and 133 x 133 mm with either a 9 x 9 or 10 x 10 divider. They can be used in modern, space-efficient storage racks, and the surface is easy to write on, making it simple to index samples before freezing.
50 mm cardboard boxes are available with 5 x 5, 9 x 9 or 10 x 10 dividers, as well as without dividers. The divider height is 30 mm. Separate dividers in 7 x 7, 9 x 9 and 10 x 10 formats can be purchased separately.
We supply the most commonly used cryobox sizes, fitting the vast majority of racks for chest freezers and upright freezers on the market. Other box colours and other divider sizes can be ordered by contacting DACOS.
All cardboard boxes are made from responsibly sourced, biodegradable materials. They offer long durability and can be reused multiple times. After use, the cardboard from the cryoboxes can be safely recycled, helping reduce the environmental impact caused by non-recyclable storage solutions.
By choosing cardboard cryoboxes, the laboratory selects an environmentally friendly storage solution that helps reduce further pollution.
