Screw Caps for SBS-Format Tubes with Internal or External Thread
AltemisLab screw caps for SBS-format tubes with 2D Data Matrix codes are available with both internal and external threads. All caps are manufactured from medical-grade polypropylene and are designed for the secure storage of samples under demanding laboratory conditions. The leak-proof caps can be used at temperatures ranging from -196 °C to 121 °C, making them suitable for both cryogenic storage and autoclaving.
Screw Caps for SBS-Format Tubes with Internal Thread
The internal-thread screw caps are moulded as a single piece, allowing the material to expand uniformly during freezing. This ensures a reliable and secure seal, even at extremely low temperatures. The yellow caps feature a thread design that prevents cross-threading, ensuring correct closure every time while minimising the risk of leakage.
The caps are compatible with 0.5 ml, 0.75 ml, 1.1 ml and 1.4 ml AltemisLab tubes.
They are manufactured using a dual-injection moulding process, combining thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) with medical-grade polypropylene to create a robust, leak-tight construction.

The external-thread screw caps are designed for fast and ergonomic handling. The cap is fully sealed after only 180° of rotation, making opening and closing quick and efficient. The short turning movement reduces wrist strain and provides a more comfortable workflow during repetitive use.
