CAPP pipette filters are a simple and effective solution to prevent contamination of both your pipette and your samples. Acting as a reliable barrier, the filters block vapours and particles before they can reach the internal components of the pipette – helping maintain precision and hygiene in your laboratory work.
The filter is easily placed inside the pipette cone before attaching the pipette tip. This extra layer of protection significantly reduces the risk of cross-contamination. Please note that the filters are not compatible with all pipettes – in many cases, filter tips may be a better choice, especially when protecting against aerosol contamination or working with larger liquid volumes.
For optimal protection, it is recommended to replace the filter regularly: daily, after 50–250 pipetting operations, or immediately after aspirating aggressive media.
