(excl. VAT)The Histosette I biopsy cassette is designed for the secure storage, handling, and processing of tissue specimens in pathology and histology laboratories. Manufactured from acetal, the cassettes keep biopsy samples safely immersed throughout the processing workflow. The spacious chamber provides ample room for specimens and makes the cassette suitable for manual identification.
The material is resistant to the chemical effects of most histological solvents, ensuring reliable performance throughout various laboratory procedures.
The integrated flow-through openings are designed to optimize fluid exchange and ensure efficient drainage. This contributes to consistent treatment of tissue specimens throughout the entire analytical process.
Histosette I features a practical one-piece integrated lid, eliminating the need for separate steel lids. The lid can be easily opened, closed, and securely locked to the cassette base, making handling both simple and efficient.
The external writing area is positioned at either a 30° or 45° angle, providing a comfortable writing surface and making it easy to label the cassettes accurately during laboratory work.
The biopsy cassettes are used for the storage, handling, and processing of biopsy tissue specimens. They ensure that samples remain securely in place during processes such as fixation, tissue processing, and sectioning for histological analysis.
Histosette I features one large chamber with small 1 mm square openings. These openings allow fluids to pass freely through the cassette while securely retaining tissue specimens.
The cassettes are commonly used for:
During these processes, tissue can be chemically treated without the risk of specimen loss or damage.
Histosette I biopsy cassettes comply with the following standards:
Histosette I is available in pink, green, yellow, blue, peach, brown, gray, purple, orange, and aqua. The color options facilitate specimen organization and identification within the laboratory. Please contact us if you require additional color options.
