Black cryoboxes with hinged lids are developed for storing samples where effective protection from light is essential. The black polypropylene compound acts as a fully opaque barrier that shields the stored cryotubes from light. This helps reduce the risk of light-induced reactions in the liquid and makes these cryoboxes especially suitable for light-sensitive samples.
What particularly sets the black cryoboxes apart from versions in other colors is their complete opacity. While other colors do not provide the same level of shielding, the black boxes are designed to protect even highly light-sensitive samples during storage.
All cryoboxes in the range feature a practical 10×10 grid that ensures clear and systematic sample organization. With external dimensions of 130×130 mm, they fit most standard racks. The range is available in two heights, 50 mm and 55 mm, making the boxes suitable for both 1.0 ml and 2.0 ml cryotubes. The cryoboxes are made from durable, high-quality polypropylene (PP), providing a reliable solution for everyday laboratory use.
