Labcon SuperClear® Centrifuge Tubes – Maximum Safety and High Centrifugation Capacity

Labcon SuperClear® centrifuge tubes are premium-quality conical centrifuge tubes developed for laboratories with high demands for safety, durability, and performance. The tubes are designed to withstand extremely high centrifugal forces, making them suitable for a wide range of centrifugation applications.

The 15 mL tubes can be centrifuged at up to 17,000 x G, while the 50 mL tubes can withstand centrifugation at up to 20,000 x G. This is significantly higher than many comparable centrifuge tubes on the market. To ensure maximum operational reliability, all tubes are tested at even higher g-forces than their stated specifications.

Safe and User-Friendly Design

The cap is equipped with an integrated rubber membrane that ensures 100% leak-proof performance. The attached flat cap also provides ample space for clear labeling. A ¾ turn creates a vapor-tight seal, while an additional ¼ turn makes the tube completely sealed and leak-proof.

The ergonomic design makes handling quick and easy. The cap can be opened and closed with a single smooth motion, reducing wrist strain compared to traditional centrifuge tubes that often require multiple turns. This improves user comfort and may help reduce the risk of repetitive strain injuries during routine laboratory work.

The centrifuge tubes are manufactured from high-quality, non-cytotoxic medical-grade resin-based polystyrene. They feature easy-to-read graduations in three colors, a reverse reading scale, and a large writing area with a patented surface that resists smudging without obscuring the contents of the tube.

Proven Quality and Sterility

Labcon SuperClear® centrifuge tubes are developed in Labcon’s own laboratory and subsequently tested in independent professional laboratories. They are suitable for most common centrifugation applications within research, analysis, and laboratory operations.

All sterile Labcon products are packaged in medical-grade packaging and sterilized by irradiation according to the validated ISO 11137 method, achieving a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10⁻⁶. This makes the tubes particularly suitable for research and medical laboratories where documented sterility is essential.

An Environmentally Responsible and ACT-Labeled Choice

Labcon SuperClear® centrifuge tubes are ACT-labeled and manufactured with a focus on reducing environmental impact. Production takes place at Labcon’s facilities in California, where products are manufactured using 93% renewable energy. Production also incorporates sustainable materials, including bioplastics and recycled plastics.

The packaging is designed to minimize plastic consumption and is printed using heavy-metal-free inks. Labcon offers more than 100 ACT-labeled products, demonstrating the company’s commitment to more sustainable laboratory operations. The ACT label provides transparent information about a product’s environmental impact, covering manufacturing, energy consumption, packaging, and overall sustainability.

Laboratory work often requires the use of plastic products, but by choosing Labcon Earth Friendly products, laboratories can reduce their environmental footprint without compromising quality or performance.

FDA Approved for Food Contact

Labcon is an FDA-registered medical device manufacturing facility and operates according to stringent quality assurance standards. Products are manufactured under carefully controlled conditions and undergo extensive testing to ensure accuracy, clarity, torsional strength, centrifugation performance, and freedom from contamination.

The resin materials used comply with FDA CFR21 GMP requirements, meaning the products are approved for food-contact applications.
