The orange/red syringe barrel wiper piston from Drifton is designed to ensure that the pressure is evenly spread across the fluid surface in the syringe barrel to provide consistent dispensing and prevent air entrapment.
The wiper piston also forms a seal to prevent dripping and eliminate material waste by wiping the syringe barrel wall clean as fluid is dispensed.
The orange/red piston is a tight-fitting piston with straight walls and is used with volumetric dispensers, mechanical dispensing equipment and is also recommended for reduced stringing and ”bouncing” with high viscosity products.
