(excl. VAT)Labcon SuperClear® sample and transport tubes are designed for primary biological sample collection and the safe transport of specimen material. The tubes are suitable for all types of biological samples, including liquids, and combine high mechanical strength with maximum protection against leakage and contamination.
The leak-proof screw caps ensure an effective seal, reducing the risk of exposure during handling and transport. This makes the tubes particularly suitable for protecting valuable and sensitive samples.
The tubes are self-standing and feature a conical bottom with a wide skirted base for enhanced stability. They are manufactured from durable, medical-grade polypropylene and can withstand centrifugation up to 12,000 × G (RCF).
For optimal usability, the tubes are:
Sterile versions are certified free from RNase, DNase, DNA/RNA, and pyrogens.
Caps are included and feature a flat top with membrane sealing for enhanced leak protection.
When transporting biological samples, international aviation regulations require compliance with IATA 95 kPa certification. This standard verifies that the container can withstand an internal pressure differential of at least 95 kPa (0.95 bar / 13.8 psi) without leakage.
Labcon SuperClear® transport tubes meet these requirements and are therefore approved for air transport of biological substances.
In countries applying the UN3373 standard, the tubes may be used as primary containers for both air and ground shipment.
The tubes are developed in Labcon’s in-house laboratory and tested in independent professional facilities to ensure reliable performance in routine laboratory applications.
All sterile products are packaged in medical-grade packaging and radiation sterilized according to a validated ISO 11137 method, achieving a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10⁻⁶.
Variants for light-sensitive samples are also available.
