(excl. VAT)Labcon SuperClear® round-bottom culture tubes are engineered for precision work in modern laboratories. The tubes are manufactured using high-precision molding technology, resulting in an exceptionally smooth interior surface and base. The smooth finish minimizes sample retention and ensures optimal material recovery. The walls are constructed with increased thickness to provide enhanced mechanical strength during both manual handling and centrifugation.
SuperClear® culture tubes are available in both polystyrene (PS) and polypropylene (PP), allowing material selection to match specific application requirements:
Both variants are manufactured from medical-grade USP Class VI virgin resin, ensuring consistent quality, high structural integrity, and maximum process reliability in laboratory environments. The molded graduations are permanently integrated into the tube wall, providing clear visibility for fast and accurate volume measurement.
The tubes are produced from 100% virgin resin, eliminating the risk of contamination associated with recycled plastics. They are tested and certified free of nucleases, endotoxins, and ATP contamination.
Polystyrene (PS)
Polypropylene (PP)
All sterile variants are supplied in medical-grade packaging and sterilized by irradiation according to validated ISO 11137 procedures. The Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) is 10⁻⁶, making the products suitable for research, clinical, and diagnostic laboratories with strict safety and documentation requirements.
Overfit Style caps are designed to securely seal SuperClear® culture tubes as well as compatible tubes from other manufacturers. The design enables quick application and easy removal without compromising seal integrity.
When properly fitted, the caps provide a leak-proof seal. The flexible sidewalls allow effortless attachment, while an integrated thumb tab facilitates easy removal. Internal rib structures ensure secure grip around the tube rim.
Plug Style caps are manufactured from medical-grade USP Class VI polyethylene resin and are designed to fit culture tubes with diameters of 15–17 mm.
They are certified free from nucleases, endotoxins, and ATP contamination and are developed to provide secure and stable closure for standard laboratory applications.
Production takes place at Labcon’s own facilities in California with a strong focus on minimizing environmental impact. Approximately 93% of the energy used in manufacturing is derived from renewable sources. Sustainable materials are incorporated wherever technically feasible, including bioplastics and recyclable polymers.
Packaging is optimized to reduce plastic consumption and printed using inks free from heavy metals.
Life-cycle analyses indicate that a significant portion of plastic products’ carbon footprint originates during the manufacturing phase. By choosing Earth Friendly products, laboratories can substantially reduce their overall environmental impact without compromising performance or quality.
Labcon operates as an FDA-registered medical device manufacturing facility. Products are manufactured under strictly controlled conditions and undergo comprehensive testing to ensure precision, optical clarity, structural integrity, and centrifugation resistance.
The resin used complies with FDA 21 CFR GMP requirements and is approved for food contact applications.
