Description

Amber Microtube with Screw Cap 5.0 ml from SPL
The SPL 5.0 ml amber microtube with screw cap is manufactured from durable polypropylene and designed for the safe handling of both solid and liquid light-sensitive samples and reagents. The tubes are suitable for preparation, homogenization, centrifugation, transport, and long-term storage in laboratory environments.

They can be used in teaching laboratories as well as routine and research laboratories within biotechnology, chemistry, and industrial applications. These microtubes – often referred to as macro tubes – feature a conical bottom similar to a standard 15 ml centrifuge tube. The compact 5 ml format allows for space optimization when working with smaller liquid volumes.

The tubes withstand temperatures from -86 °C to 110 °C, making them suitable for both heating applications and ultra-low temperature storage.
