The CAPPRondo refrigerated centrifuge is designed for efficient handling of temperature-sensitive samples such as DNA, RNA, antibodies, and PCR material. The built-in refrigeration system maintains a stable operating temperature down to –20 °C, supporting sample integrity throughout the entire centrifugation process.

Operation is controlled by a microprocessor, and all key parameters are clearly displayed on a large, four-row backlit LCD display. Temperature, speed, and time can be adjusted quickly via the intuitive control panel with direct function buttons.

The centrifuge can be configured for a wide range of applications using four interchangeable rotor options:

  • 44 × 1.5/2.0 mL microtubes (22,388 × g)
  • 24 × 1.5/2.0 mL microtubes (21,420 × g)
  • 8 × 5 mL microtubes (18,462 × g)
  • PCR strip rotor for 0.2 mL tubes (15,397 × g)

The system is powered by a brushless, maintenance-free DC motor with a speed range of 500–15,000 rpm. Its 43 kg frame and rubber feet provide excellent stability and reduced vibration at high speeds.

To ensure safe operation, the centrifuge includes imbalance detection and a lid-lock mechanism that prevents access to the rotor while it is spinning. The flexible timer can be set from 30 seconds to 999 minutes, or to continuous operation, making it suitable for a variety of laboratory protocols. Up to 99 programs can be saved for easy repeatability of routine procedures.
